Annual Baerami Bush Dance


The annual Baerami Bush Dance and Campout will be held again on Saturday 6 May 2017. Baerami is west of Sandy Hollow in the Upper Hunter, and close to world heritage listed Wollemi National Park.

This traditional acoustic bush dance features acoustic music performed by \'Waltzing Jack\' & Friends. It is fun for all ages, and is very family friendly. All dances are explained.

Arrive from 4pm; dancing starts at 7.30pm and continues into the night!  BYO dinner and a supper to share. Camp at the hall, or stay at local accommodation. On Sunday, there is an easy bushwalk in world heritage listed Wollemi National Park.

Tickets are $17.00 per adult (pre-paid) or $20.00 (at door). Children under 15 are free. Concession $10 (either pre-paid or at door). Bookings are now open on Trybooking at the following link:

Another beautiful year at Callicoma Hill with summer beginning with the Callicoma blossoms and evening fireflies.

The Autumn months of March, April and May are usually the best of the year to visit Callicoma Hill, with mild nights, and pleasant sunny days. It is a great time for walking in the forests of the Barrington Tops area nearby.

With accommodation still available during this period, book soon and make sure you don't miss out.



Greeting cards to complement 20 Great Hunter Region Walks map


Callicoma Hill eco-cabins recently produced a set of 3 high quality blank greeting cards showing the superb locations of some of the walks described in the 20 Great Hunter Region Walks map.

The cards complement the guide to 20 great bushwalks of the Hunter Valley and are a great gift to yourself or your friends. It gives basic directions for some of the best bushwalking locations in the Hunter Region. Available from our shop, and a great idea for Christmas or a special occasion.



Discount for National Parks Association members


National Parks Association of NSW walks and activities are a great way to meet like-minded people, and to explore the natural wonders of NSW and beyond. Members of the National Parks Association receive an accommodation discount at Callicoma Hill eco-cabins. ( http://www.npansw.org.au)

Guided bush walks


Bushwalks are an opportunity to have fun and to enjoy and learn more about the beauty of natural areas.

Callicoma Hill organises guided and self-guided walks and events in the natural areas of the Hunter Valley. Our guided walks program includes wildlife observation and walks in famous explorer Ludwig Leichhardt’s footsteps at Mt Royal.

The 20 Great Hunter Region Walk Map and Guide gives information on self-guided walks. This is available from our shop.
